How to Use Multi-Track Player Multiple Project
Management
To Access the Multiple Project Management Screen for Multi-Track Audio Player Presentation use this button:
When you first open the software to the project management screen you will always see at least one project in the Project List . The default name for this project is Project0 which you can change if you wish to any name you like by clicking on the project you wish to edit in the list and then making a change in the project name text box in the left side of the screen: . Once you change the project name if you want it updated in the project list you must save it by clicking this button:
New Feature! You can work on multiple projects at once. You can quickly and easily add multiple multi-track players to one webpage without file name conflicts.
The multi project management feature is simple. To add a new project simply click on the button and you will see a new project appear in the list under .
To work on the new project simply click on it in the list. You will notice when you click on the new project the settings from the old project will no longer be visible. You edit a new project the exact same way you did the old one starting with adding a track.
You will have to visit the and screens for just like you did for .
You can add as many projects as you want to this list in this way. Once you have added all your projects and completed your configurations for them you can click the button and the files for all the projects will be saved to the folder you specified when you first opened the software.
Each supporting file except for the mp3 file you are using will have a file name ending in a number. This way none of the files for each project will interfere or overwrite another.
Note: Do not save multi-track projects in the same folder as single track projects if you intend on editing them later. You can however save your multi-track projects and single track projects in seperate folders for editing and updating and just copy the supporting files for each into the folder or directory where the page is that you wish to put them on without a problem.
The only issue to be aware of is that when you create and manage one or more single track or multi track projects and save those projects and output the files there is a file called config.dat that is used by the software to open and edit the project later. If you were to create a single track project in the same folder as an existing multi track project the config.dat file from the new project would overwrite the older file.
The config.dat file is only used for editing projects and does not need to be copied to the directory which will be uploaded to your server when you are ready to place the players in your webpage and upload the presentations.
When you click the button and save your project:
The files you will see will vary depending on whether you chose to have javascript output or not. You will see file names like:
project0.html, project1.html, project2.html
player0.swf, player1.swf, player2.swf
mp0.xml, mp1.xml, mp2.xml
embed0.js, embed1.js, embed2.js
whatever.mp3, another.mp3, anotherone.mp3
and one config.dat file.
Note: The config.dat file is important to keep in the folder where you saved your projects because that is the file that the software uses to open a folder with projects in it so that you can edit them or add more later.
The reason there is only one config.dat file output when you is because that config.dat file is used to remember all the projects you were working on that were saved to that folder.
Notice: To add more projects to a folder that already has projects saved to it use the button which you see when you first open the software and browse for the folder where you saved your project.
Do not forget this very powerful time saving feature. It will come in handy for quickly adding and editing multiple audio players.
